Accounting Manager - Atlanta, GA office

Overview

We’re seeking an Accounting Manager at IST Management who can adapt to the needs of a high-growth, privately-owned company. The Accounting Manager will be a critical thinker and able to successfully execute and oversee billing and daily accounting operations. This position reports to the Controller. The Accounting Manager will lead the team by example as a hands-on driver of consistent adherence to all established processes and improvement to systems and procedures. Familiarity with e-Discovery billing is a huge plus. 

For consideration, candidates must be able to fulfill full time office presence at our corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA.

Compensation for this role will range between $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 base salary based upon experience and performance throughout the interview process. 

Responsibilities

The Accounting Manager is responsible for executing and supervising billing and daily accounting operations, and leading the team by example as a hands-on driver of consistent adherence to all established processes and improvement to systems and procedures. Additional responsibilities include:

Expertise in Operations and Reporting

• Work with CFO and Controller to ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements including month and year-end close-outs, financial reports, organizational and departmental budgets, and reports used by Executive team
• Ownership of reconciliations and fixed assets
• Ownership of vendor maintenance and process consistency 
• Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards, approve and coordinate changes and improvements in financial information systems
• Enhance and ensure compliance with finance, accounting, billing, and standard operating procedures (SOP)

People Leadership

• Recruit, train, develop, supervise and evaluate Finance/Accounting departmental staff; collaborate with support departments

Highly Preferred Software Proficiencies: Sage Intacct, QuickBooks

Additional Preferred Software Proficiencies: Anytime Collect, Yooz Rising, Avalara, Nexonia, Navan, Hotel Engine, SAP Concur, ADP, Solaria

Qualifications

Additional qualifications include:

• 2+ years of experience working as an Accounting Manager or equivalent role, in a legal environment and/or e-Discovery provider environment is a huge plus
• Hand-on experience with Intacct
• Ability meet on-site attendance policy
• Accounting related 4 year degree or exceeding
• Authorization to work for any employer in the United States
• Willingness and ability to stand, sit, and view computer screen for hours at a time
