Quality Assurance/Automation Test Engineer (Remote)

Overview

NIWC Atlantic Software Services requires ISHPI to provide emerging Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Navy (DON) information technology, to design, develop, engineer, and maintain systems that will improve customer organizational efficiency. ISHPI provides support in the areas of Administrative Services, Applications Integration Management, Corporate Strategy Planning and Execution, Information Assurance (IA), Information Resource Management, and Information Technology (IT) Operations. Further task includes new standards engineering, prototype installation, application development, data interoperability, system design, system management and maintenance, data collection, analysis, and other management and implementation efforts in support of data translation, data mediation, data mapping and test and evaluation. 

Responsibilities

• Identify risks and constrains, contingency plans and test deliverables.
• Test all software releases, including new features, enhancements, and fixes for bugs and defects.
• Design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met.
• Develop, release, and maintain manual and automated test procedures.
• Work across teams and coding platforms such as Appian, ServiceNow, Archibus
• Perform and document exploratory testing results.
• Test STIGs for functionality on IT systems.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies.
• Report status of test cases to project leads.
• Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios and deadlines.
• Support customer UAT events.

Qualifications

Education: BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related discipline. In lieu of BS degree, a minimum of 10 years of related experience is required; MS and PhD degrees may also be considered for addtional years of experience. 

Experience: Six (6) years of experience in Software testing, to include: designing, implementing, and conducting test and evaluation procedures. Experience with automate software testing processes, and conducting software performance analysis. Experience with conducting white-box testing, black-box testing, end-to-end testing, integration testing, and regression testing. Performing of QA documentation (test cases & scenarios, RTM) and bug documentation in ticket tracking system. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.

Security Clearance:  Requires U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD government security clearance.

Pay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000.
