A leading international engineering and construction group is recruiting a Fabrication HSE Advisor to support major Subsea Oil & Gas projects within a structured and demanding EPCI environment.
You will join a company delivering complex onshore, offshore and subsea projects worldwide, with a strong commitment to safety, sustainability and operational excellence. The role is based at an onshore fabrication yard and supports multiple strategic projects through 2026 and 2027.
Reporting to the Project HSE Manager(s) and working closely with the Company Site Representative and fabrication yard teams, the Fabrication HSE Advisor provides day-to-day HSE support to ensure fabrication activities are carried out in full compliance with applicable legislation, client requirements and Company HSE standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Implement and support the Project HSE Plan, HSE objectives and safety initiatives at the fabrication yard
Act as a visible HSE presence on site, promoting proactive safety behaviours and strong safety culture
Monitor implementation of HSE procedures, safe work practices and permit-to-work systems
Conduct regular HSE inspections, safety tours and audits across all work areas, including subcontractors
Identify, report and follow up non-conformances and unsafe conditions to closure
Participate in risk assessments (HIRAs, TRAs, JRAs) related to fabrication activities (welding, lifting, work at height, confined spaces, SIMOPS, etc.)
Support preparation and review of SIMOPS-related risk controls where applicable
Attend and contribute to daily coordination meetings, toolbox talks, pre-job meetings and HSSE committees
Support HSE inductions, briefings and safety campaigns
Ensure incidents, near-misses and anomalies are reported and investigated in accordance with Company and client requirements
Prepare daily and weekly HSE reports and contribute to HSE KPIs and trend analysis
Support site HSE administration, documentation control and self-verification activities
The job holder is expected to demonstrate exemplary behaviour in line with the Company’s Ethics & Code of Conduct and HSE rules.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Health & Safety roles, preferably within fabrication or construction environments
Recognized professional Health & Safety qualification
Vocational training in high-risk activities (e.g. working at height, lifting operations)
Strong field presence with excellent communication and influencing skills
Structured, rigorous and solution-oriented approach to HSE management
English essential, Spanish advantageous
Onshore position only (no offshore missions, no office-based role)
Location: Tarragona, Spain
Contract duration: 10 months (until December 2026), with possible extension to April 2027
Start date: 9 February 2026
Working schedule: Monday to Friday (no weekend work)
