Organizational Context and Scope
IOM Micronesia Country Office covers the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), the Republic of Palau, and the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI). Main programmatic activities are organized around two areas of work: building resilience from climate change impact and natural disasters; and supporting mobility for sustainable development. The second area of work includes various migration management priorities, from policy development, diaspora engagement to protection of migrants and technical capacity building of relevant authorities including borders management and counter trafficking.
Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Mission (COM) in Micronesia, and in close coordination with relevant Regional Thematic Specialists (RTS) at the Regional Office (RO) and relevant Divisions/Departments/Units at Headquarters (HQ), the Programme Officer (Migration Management) will support and coordinate the development, implementation, monitoring, and reporting activities of the ongoing migration management interventions being implemented in FSM, RMI and Palau.

- The Programme Officer (Migration Management) will support and coordinate the development, implementation, monitoring, and reporting activities of migration management interventions in FSM, RMI, and Palau. This role involves close collaboration with the Chief of Mission and relevant specialists.
