About the Role
The Houseperson plays an essential role in keeping our hotel clean, organized, and welcoming for both guests and team members. You’ll support the housekeeping team by helping with linens, stocking supplies, maintaining public areas, and assisting with special cleaning projects.
This is a great position for someone who enjoys staying active, working behind the scenes, and helping create a clean and comfortable environment throughout the hotel.
What You’ll Do (Essential Tasks)
Support the Housekeeping Team
Collect used linens and trash from Room Attendants’ carts throughout the day.
Restock carts with fresh linens and supplies so the team can work smoothly and efficiently.
Help keep all storage rooms clean, organized, and regularly vacuumed.
Care for Hotel Public Areas
Keep sidewalks, stairways, walkways, and other outdoor areas clean and tidy.
Clean exterior doors, windows, and vents to maintain a polished appearance for guests.
Assist with carpet care using hotel-approved cleaning equipment.
Assist With Special Projects
Support deep cleaning tasks such as mattress turning, seasonal cleaning, and other projects assigned by the Director of Housekeeping.
Set up meeting rooms by arranging tables, chairs, linens, and other items according to event requirements.
Safety Awareness
Stay alert for any safety hazards and report them promptly.
Follow proper guidelines to keep yourself, coworkers, and guests safe at all times.
QualificationsQualifications
A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
Reliable and dependable, with good attendance and transportation.
Comfortable staying active, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Basic communication skills, including the ability to speak and understand English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working in areas that may be warm, cold, or get a bit dirty at times.
No experience required — we will train you!
