Volunteer Description:
Unpaid volunteer contributing time to Intermountain Healthcare in various roles.We are looking for volunteers who are enthusiastic and dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. Whether it is greeting patients and families, assisting in waiting areas or supporting staff behind the scenes, every role makes a powerful impact.
Volunteers are the heart of our hospital as they bring comfort, kindness and connection to those who need it most. We are looking for individuals who are committed, reliable and ready to serve with empathy and purpose.
This is an unpaid position that gives you the opportunity to use your talents, meet new people and experience the reward that comes from making a difference in peoples lives.
We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to serve in such areas as:
Front Information Desk - Engage individuals who enter the hospital, assist with wayfinding and escort to appointments
Gift Shop - Assist patients with their purchases, price items and use the cash register
Department Support
Pet Therapy - Visit with patients and caregivers throughout the hospital (need to have certification from Intermountain Pet Therapy Program)
Qualifications:
Six month Commitment
Able to work alone and independently
Customer service skills
Able to follow instructions
Good listening skills
Able to work with diverse population
