School Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)

We are looking for an LPN or RN to ride the bus home from school, Monday through Friday 1:30pm-3:45pm (paid for 4 hrs), with a group of medically fragile students.

Job Duties:
- Plan, direct, assess and provide nursing care according to the policies and procedures of the school
- Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
- Provide basic first aid care.
- Complete patient documentation.
- Care for students with asthma and watch for seizures.
A few must-haves for LPNs and RNs:
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program and active LPN or RN in Michigan
- CPR certification
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
- One year of pediatric experience is required
- Demonstrated clinical proficiency, critical thinking skills, good communicator and compassionate

What you'll do
- The School Nurse will plan, direct, assess, and provide nursing care according to school policies. They will also consult with healthcare team members to evaluate patient care plans and provide basic first aid care.
