Job Purpose

The IDD Market Data Management team is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic and driven Market Data Business Analyst, to investigate, validate and curate market data in commodity and equity derivatives.

Establish and implement data management procedures, tools, and methodologies to reflect the ongoing needs of the Commodity, Equity and ETD markets. Connect, verify, and ensure proper data flow within the organization.

Serve as a liaison between business units, market data vendors, and R&D.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility of data for the Commodity, Equity and ETD product.
• Analyse business requirements for market data (e.g., pricing, reference data, real-time feeds).
• Proactively design, build and maintain reports and dashboards in addition to monitoring and maintaining the integrity and validity of the data.
• Assist with implementation of new data feeds, APIs, and distribution systems.
• Work closely with other internal departments and resources including, Product Management, R&D, and operations to develop workflows, quality assurance processes and product enhancements.
• Create, Maintain, and validate data connection to our data providers.
• Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to implement and test new data feeds, APIs, or distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot issues with data delivery, latency, or quality.
• Work with developers to implement automation solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data governance and workflow efficiency.
• Provide training and support to end users on data tools, terminals, and entitlements.

Knowledge and Experience

• BA/BSc in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Statistic, Financial Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• +3 years of experience in data analytics\BI\reference data role.
• Solid understanding of market data content types (real-time, reference, derived, pricing).
• Understanding of APIs and data integration processes
• Experience in the financial industry, stock markets or derivatives - an advantage
• Experience working with data products and platforms.
• Strong analytic and organizational skills with acute attention to details.
• Strong Knowledge of SQL for data analysis.
• Demonstrate analytical and quantitative skills to solve problems.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams to facilitate data management processes and solutions.
• Ability to work as a part Agile global team.
• Python, VBA, or other analytical applications – an advantage
