TITLE: Winder Operator C
POSITION OBJECTIVE: To learn fundamentals of the process while assisting machine operators while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Mechanical aptitude
- Good oral /written communication skills
- Computing knowledge
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Any supplemental responsibilities as determined by Senior Winder Operator or upper supervision.
- Assist adjoining line if necessary
- Maintain equipment notifying Senior Extrusion Technician / Lead of any maintenance issues requiring immediate attention
- Slab rolls, cut scrap winder, and grind scrap
- Quality testing / data entry
- Overtime as required
- Strive to achieve departmental production and quality objectives
- Comply with company recycling policy
- Comply with all Plant Safety and Product Safety requirements
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
- Balancing, maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.
- Climbing, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles. Using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized.
- Inside and outside environments apply.
- Manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)
- Subject to noise.
