We are looking for a motivated engineer with experience in Scala or Haskell to join our Emerging Technology team. In this role, you will work with the DAML smart contract language to design and implement DAML-based solutions across a range of distributed ledger technologies.

The company will fully support your growth by providing mentoring and certification in DAML, helping you build expertise in this exciting and innovative area.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain Canton-based solutions using Daml.
• Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging of the software solution. 
• Translate client requirements into technical specifications and develop Daml smart contracts.
• Identify and resolve production and non-production application issues.
  
• Develop documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Keep up to date with the latest developments using DAML.
  
  

Requirements:
Must have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Good programming skills and experience in Scala or Haskell. 
  
• Strong functional programming fundamentals (data structures and algorithms).
• Proven history of delivering high-quality systems using Agile methodologies.
  
• Strong command of distributed systems development and a deep understanding of secure coding practices.
• Understanding of the modern development ecosystem: Git, CI/CD, automated testing, authentication, and authorization.
• Understanding of cloud development and deployment (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience in database management systems and APIs.
• Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and message queuing systems.
• Self-aware and team-oriented to succeed.

Nice to have

• Experience with DAML or blockchain projects
