About this role

We are a podiatrist office looking to hire a Medical Assistant who is a highly skilled multitasker performing all job functions as required in support of a busy practice. Possess the drive and ability to participate in providing high quality health care to our valued patients.
May be involved in both the clinical and administrative areas including assisting physicians with patient care and handling clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinical services. 


Essential Functions:

  • Communicates to both doctors and patients using appropriate medical terminology.
  • Take a thorough detailed chief complaint, past medical history, social history.
  • Scribe objective and plan portion of encounter note at doctor’s direction.
  • Take xrays
  • Assist physicians with minor in office procedures.
  • Educate patients on conditions and treatments.
  • Maintain inventory, supplies, equipment, and sterilization of instruments.
  • Clean and sterilize rooms in a thorough and prompt manner.
  • Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously.
  • Will support and cover for other staff members as may be requested.

  • Experience: At least 1+ year in medical office experience preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Teamwork: Ability to flourish independently or collaboratively within a team.
