SUMMARY: The Quality Technician is responsible for performing detailed inspections, documenting nonconformances, and supporting root cause investigations to ensure that products meet customer specifications, internal procedures, and ISO 13485 standards. This role requires strong technical skills in quality assurance and inspection methods, along with effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, and Quality. The Quality Technician also supports process and continuous improvements, helps train team members, and ensures ongoing compliance with quality standards throughout all stages of production.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs quality inspection activities including but not limited to, incoming inspection, in-process verifications and final inspection of completed products for both the Standard and Quantum value streams.
  • Document nonconformances by generating nonconforming reports (NCRs) in the system when nonconformances are identified.
  • Ensure all NCRs are properly documented, tracked, and completed to support timely and accurate closure.
  • Provide a weekly report on open NCRs, including the number of NCRs closed during the week.
  • Provide feedback to production and quality personnel regarding recurring quality issues.
  • Support Daily Material Review Board (MRB) meetings and provide technical input.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, and Quality) to ensure process compliance and address quality concerns.
  • Participate in root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs/SCARs) including follow-up on customer complaints, Return Material Authorization (RMAs), and Temporary Deviation (TDRAs).
  • Assist in resolving quality issues, escalating as necessary, and supporting containment and corrective action efforts.
  • Support quality-related projects such as process and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with training and mentoring of Quality Inspectors, Team Leads and Production team members on quality procedures and inspection criteria as needed.
  • Maintain inspection and measurement tools, equipment and fixtures ensuring calibration status is current and recorded in the system.
  • Participate in internal audits, re-certification, and customer audits as required.
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of work area in accordance with site requirements.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a quality or inspection role, or in a manufacturing role with exposure to quality processes and standards.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection procedures, metrology tools, and calibration practices.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience working in ISO-regulated environments, especially ISO 13485, preferred.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and quality specifications.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

    • Safety glasses are required in designated areas.
    • Company supplied uniforms and/or gowning must be worn in designated areas.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers. Must be able to speak and hear. The employee is required to walk, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally sit, stoop and crouch. Requires mental and visual attention to detail as well as hand coordination. Occasionally lifting or moving average weight material. The flow of work and character of duties involve normal mental and visual attention along with manual coordination or part-time normal and part-time concentrated attention and coordination.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Employee must be able to read and interpret documents written in English. Documents to include written work instructions schematic/assembly drawings, standard operating and maintenance procedures, Employee must be able to have good communication with fellow employees, supervisors, and management.

$21.42-$32.45

Parental leave is available after one year. Optional employee-paid programs include supplemental life insurance, critical illness, hospital indemnity and accident insurance. Employees are immediately eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan with company matching contributions. We provide 80 hours (10 days) of company designated holidays per year plus an annual allotment of paid time off.
