About the role

Our growing team is looking for a Product Manager – Telematics (UBI)!

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our passionate product team specializing in telematics, to manage the full product lifecycle, with a focus on delivering and operationalizing complex initiatives.

The telematics product team (UBI, “usage-based insurance”) is responsible for developing innovative features in the mobile app for auto insurance telematics customers, as well as managing the entire UBI program. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping our roadmap and aligning stakeholders to deliver our digital solutions.

What you'll do here:

Product Management:

• Discover customer needs, collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify business requirements, and prioritize them based on value.

• Analyze data from multiple sources (customer/sales/support feedback, mobile app analytics, etc.) to extract user insights.

• Articulate the “why” and the “what” of each initiative, identify expected impacts, and communicate them clearly to internal and external stakeholders (vendors, partners).

• Contribute to defining the product vision and strategy, in collaboration with the product strategist and leadership.

• Build the roadmap and communicate it to internal stakeholders while managing cross-team dependencies.

• Work with go-to-market teams (operations, marketing, etc.) to plan successful launches.

Backlog Management:

• Prioritize the product backlog to maximize customer value and business value for Intact.

• Define and describe epic objectives, establish milestones, start and end dates.

• Provide day-to-day guidance to business analysts, allocate tasks, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Initiative Delivery:

• Guide the development team to deliver quality technology features that improve key outcomes for customers and Intact.

• Work closely with business analysts to break initiatives into increments to learn quickly and iterate.

• Manage technology developments from external vendors.

• Collaborate with the Scrum Master and technical leaders to optimize development velocity.

What you will bring to the table:

• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and relevant experience.

• 5 to 7 years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Business Analyst.

• Strong mastery of Agile product development practices.

• Proven experience with complex digital products involving multiple internal and external stakeholders (vendors, partners).

• High autonomy and excellent interpersonal skills to rally stakeholders around a common initiative and find compromises.

• Excellent ability to coordinate multiple initiatives in parallel (multitasking).

• Strong analytical mindset and business acumen.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience in insurance or telematics (an asset).

• Bilingualism (French and English) – Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.

• No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
