94,200 - 115,200

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.


About the role

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our National Large Loss Claims team to lead the analysis and delivery of projects, oversee risk and compliance functions, and own Large Loss reporting.

 

This role is a key player in a small team that is highly visible because it supports a wider group, requiring strategic planning and execution.  It has a broad scope of responsibility, often requiring you to make decisions and manage multiple moving parts of an initiative or governance.

 

What you’ll do here

  • Analyze information obtained from various sources, detail the high-level view and provide users with recommendations.  This is applicable to project work and recurring data analysis supporting operations.

  • Produce business cases for proposed future projects or initiatives.

  • Owner of the Large Loss reporting which includes weekly, monthly, and quarterly data collection and validation for circulation.

  • Co-ordinator of the Global Large Loss forum, an internal group of representatives from the countries where Intact operates, seeking to further collaboration.

  • Coach junior members of the team with their risk and compliance tasks.

  • Utilise your analytical skills to identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, cost reduction, or risk mitigation.

  • Collaborate closely with our Project Manager on large group initiatives.

  • Plan and co-ordinate project activities related to organizational requirements or changes.

  • Obtain requirements or document business processes from business communities using techniques such as interview and work sessions, using defined templates.

  • Act as an intermediary between immediate team and colleagues in neighbouring teams to support in the delivery of initiatives and events.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or any equivalent combination of education and more than 5 years of experience.

  • A minimum of two years of claims insurance experience considered an asset.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills facilitating problem solving, time and priority management.

  • Must have demonstrated initiative and autonomy.

  • Client oriented.

  • Team spirit.

  • Good knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.  Knowledge of PowerBI considered an asset.

  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
