About this role

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Per Diem Communications Operator to join our team. This flexible position requires availability across varying shifts, including weekends. The ideal candidate will be able to work any of the shifts below per departmental needs.

  • First Shift: 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Second Shift: 11:30 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Third Shift: 7:00 PM – 5:30 AM
    Weekend availability is required.

Flexibility is essential, weekly schedules will vary and include weekends

The role requires mandatory training for the first 4 weeks, covering all shifts including weekends.

 

MAJOR FUNCTION:

The Communications department that is the initial contact to callers providing information for the Inspira Organization. Providing a high degree of Customer Service to all callers, while maintaining confidentiality for all patients. Monitor all hospital Alarms panels and contact appropriate department per policy. Monitor all hospital Codes and contacting all essential Code team per Code.   


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Prior switchboard or PBX experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with customer service required. Preferably in a Health Care environment. 

Certifications/ Licensure:

  • N/A

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Basic computer skills and experience with MS Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of PC applications and functionality. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to use a keyboard.
  •  Keen visual and listening skills.
  •  Must be able to sit for significant periods.
