Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: $22 - $25 per hour
Schedule: You must be able to work Pacific hours, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM PST
Equipment: This is a fully remote role and you must provide your own computer equipment.

Position Purpose
The Accounting Specialist plays an important role in the success of the accounting department. The responsibilities include timely and accurate funding of policies for all finance companies either by check or ACH, protecting the assets of the finance company by verifying that payments are deposited into correct bank accounts, and ensuring customer billing statements are accurate. The Accounting Specialist will also support the Accounting Specialists II by reconciling the different channels of Payments as a Service.
Duties and Responsibilities
Process ACH payments and reconcile incoming and outgoing funds.
Prepare daily proof of cash and deposits.
Run month-end reports and assist with statistical reporting.
Monitor and respond to emails in the accounting inbox.
Generate and print checks, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Support other department functions as needed.
Requirements
Experience: 0-3 years of relevant experience in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Banking, Retail, or Financial Services.
Education: High school diploma required; some college accounting courses preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
Work Environment: Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment with minimal supervision.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Performance Expectations
The performance of the Accounting Specialist will be evaluated based on their effectiveness in meeting the following KPIs:
Task List Timeliness: Monthly review of the current task list and the time it takes to complete functions, aiming for complete efficiency.
Department Communications: Ensuring all team members contribute to managing the accounting email inbox daily if there are unanswered emails.
