Inova Loudoun Hospital, acute care department is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our acute care team in a PRN capacity. We require 2 weekend shifts per month, 1 Major and 1 Minor holiday a year. This is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting team working together to care for our patients.

Occupational Therapist Job Responsibilities:
- Documents evaluation results clearly and completely according to department policy.
- Completes daily progress notes that reflect patients' responses to treatment, actual performance and an assessment as to status, relevant to the treatment plan, and eventual discharge needs and treatment summaries if needed.
- Completes discharge notes that include a summary of the course of treatment, progress toward goals, discharge needs, recommendations for follow-up and patient and/or family education.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors and outside contacts.
- Provides educational materials and methods appropriate to patients' level of understanding and motivation.
- Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment and protocols. Performs re-evaluations according to department guidelines – adjusting the treatment plan as needed.
Occupational Therapist Minimum Requirements:
- Experience: Not Required
- Education: B.S. in Occupational Therapy - masters preferred
- Licensure: Licensure: VA License required
- Certification: Certification: BLS through American Heart Association (AHA)
- Special Skills: Basic computer knowledge, proficient in English verbal and written skill
