Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician to join Level 1 Trauma Center. This role will be full time, day shift; Monday - Friday with rotating weekends; 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; three-12-hour shifts.

Emergency Medical Technician 2 Job Responsibilities:
- Documents all required fields in medical records, computer entries and charges.
- Applies orthopedic splinting devices.
- Collects patient specimens following department/facility policies and procedures.
- Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies to optimize delivery of patient care and treatment.
- Assists with patient transport for testing, admission/discharge, interfacility and aeromedical (per policy of Operating Unit).
- Performs 12 lead ECG and places patients on continuous cardiac monitoring.
- Performs patient phlebotomy following department/facility policies and procedures.
- Provides wound care according to department clinical practice standards and acts as a resource to physicians and nurses to assist with optimum care.
- May perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
- Experience: 1 year of EMT-B experience
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Certification: BLS and EMT-B; must either be active on the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) or possess a current Virginia EMT License/Certification
- Special Skills: Able to read, write, speak and understand English. Computer skills.

What you'll do
- The Emergency Medical Technician will document required fields in medical records, apply orthopedic splinting devices, and assist with patient transport. Additional responsibilities include performing ECGs, phlebotomy, and providing wound care.
