Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Intern to join the team. This role will be PRN every other weekend.

Pharmacy Intern Job Responsibilities:
Under the Pharmacist supervision:
- Performs all aspects of medication distribution.
- Manages medication inventory.
- Maintains Automated Dispensing Machine.
- Performs monthly pharmacy inspections per policies/procedures.
- Participates in patient care.
- Participates in department quality improvements projects.
- Developing skills and knowledge base necessary to practice as a pharmacist.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School or GED and enrolled in Pharmacy School.
Licensure: State of Virginia Pharmacy Technician license or a Pharmacy Intern license.
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.

What you'll do
- The Pharmacy Intern will perform all aspects of medication distribution and manage medication inventory under the supervision of a pharmacist. They will also participate in patient care and department quality improvement projects.
