We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Power Plant Engineering Department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management and civil engineering for large-scale industrial and power plant projects, including steel structures and facade construction. This role will focus on the civil engineering aspects of Jenbacher gas engine-based power plants and related infrastructure, supporting multidisciplinary project teams from concept to commissioning. In addition, the position includes responsibility for authority engineering, ensuring compliance with all permitting, regulatory, and approval processes.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate civil engineering activities for power plant projects, including site development, foundations, steel structures, and building envelopes
• Manage and develop technical documentation, specifications, and tender packages for civil works
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, and reporting for civil engineering scopes
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Support contract negotiations, claims management, and quality assurance for civil works
• Ensure compliance with international and local standards, safety, and environmental regulations (Eurocode, EN 1990–1999, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IEC, and local building codes)
• Manage authority engineering processes, including permitting, regulatory submissions, and communication with authorities for project approvals
• Drive continuous improvement of civil engineering processes, tools, and standards
• Mentor and support junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the department
• Support site activities, including supervision, progress monitoring, and acceptance of civil works

Your Profile:

• Degree in Civil Engineering (Dipl.-Ing., MSc, or equivalent) and 15+ years’ experience in civil engineering and project management for industrial or power plant projects
• Proven expertise in steel construction, facade engineering, plant construction, and managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors
• Strong knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (Eurocode, local building codes, ISO 9001/14001, IEC) and experience with authority engineering and permitting processes
• Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Autodesk Revit; Primavera P6 knowledge is an advantage
• Experience in contract management, claims, and quality systems, with project management certification as a plus
• Fluent in German and English, with strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented approach; able to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Willingness to travel up to 30%
