The Accounting Operations Manager will be based in Budapest, responsible for accounting services provided for the group in Oracle as per reporting (both IFRS and USGAAP) standards. In this role, they will ensure adherence to company policies and process requirements, delivering high-quality outputs to both internal and external stakeholders in alignment with INNIO standards and compliance expectations. The successful candidate will provide clear leadership in process communication, leverage expertise to address and resolve process gaps, and develop and execute objectives that impact both short-term and long-term business goals. A key focus will be fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

 

Your tasks:

  • Oversee and manage various accounting processes, including the identification and resolution of process gaps and issues through root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Lead specific accounting sub-teams; providing direction, support, and oversight to ensure objectives are met and processes are executed effectively.
  • Support audit procedures where required
  • Drive organizational change by leading process improvement initiatives within the team.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with all relevant functions (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Group Accounting, FP&A, Controlling) to facilitate communication and coordinated action plans.
  • Interpret and apply Enterprise Standards, Standard Operating Procedures, and Process Maps to deliver globally competitive accounting services.
  • Monitor, support, and drive key performance metrics.
  • Provide professional guidance and share best practices within the accounting team.

 

Your profile:

  • College or University degree in Finance/Economics or equivalent experience
  • Direct and /or indirect leadership experience preferred
  • Professional experience in accounting desired
  • Fluent/strong command of English and any additional language is an advantage – both spoken and written
  • Excellent communication skills and assertiveness: experience working across multiple levels, functions.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with distributed teams.
  • Hands-on approach and autonomous in work.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to challenge existing processes, problem solving.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint).
