As a Senior Safe Business Officer, you are the trusted expert on Non‑Financial Risk (NFR) within Channels. With a strong focus on AI Risk management particularly the AI lifecycle, you ensure that our rapidly evolving products and processes remain safe, compliant, and future‑proof. You serve as a strategic sparring partner for management, bringing independence and a critical mindset to challenge assumptions and drive sound decisions.

What you will do

In this role, you will contribute to a robust, forward‑looking risk setup for Channels. You will:

• Own and evolve the risk & control framework across the Channels, with specific focus on AI lifecycle risks, operational risks, compliance, and data‑related risks.
• Translate complex risks into clear, actionable, and effective controls and monitoring processes.
• Support the design, assessment, and oversight of the AI lifecycle as a first-line risk officer expert, covering model development, testing, deployment, performance monitoring, security, and decommissioning of models/assets.
• Act as a critical and independent advisor to senior leadership bringing forward risks they may not yet see and advocating for solutions that truly strengthen our risk posture.
• Collaborate with Product Leads, IT Leads, Data Scientists, Engineers, Compliance, NFR, Global domains, and colleagues across the value chain to ensure safe deployment of new features and technologies.
• Strengthen the risk‑aware culture within Channels NL and the Product Family Channel Experience NL by creating awareness, providing guidance, and giving proactive feedback.

How to succeed

You are a senior professional with deep expertise, strong judgment, and the curiosity to challenge the status quo. You bring:

• 2-4+ years of experience in Non‑Financial Risk, Safe Business, Operational Risk, Compliance, or a comparable discipline.
• Demonstrated experience with AI Risk Management, including understanding of the AI model lifecycle and related risk controls.
• Independence of mind: you speak up, challenge constructively, and proactively drive solutions. You also bring an outside-in view, ensuring decisions reflect customer needs and market trends, not just internal assumptions.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams (tech, data, product, risk, audit).
• Ability to translate complex risk matters into clear communication, well‑written documentation, and actionable recommendations.
• Excellent track record in stakeholder management and the confidence to advise senior leaders.
• The ability to manage multiple topics simultaneously, while remaining structured, diligent, and consistent.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• A Master’s degree is required.
