The expected salary for this position: 22 700 - 33 500 PLN

We're looking for you if:
- You hold a technical educational background, such as a degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or has several years of proven experience managing teams in a complex technical and business environment.
- You demonstrate a proven track record of successful end‑to‑end IT platform/process delivery and maintenance, including effective stakeholder management.
- You are an enthusiast of new technologies and familiar with data platforms and engineering, cloud solutions, and data management and governance.
- You exhibit strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and inspire teams throughout transformation journeys. Values good relations with stakeholders and builds them with a long‑term perspective in mind.
- You show strong initiative, can work independently and collaboratively within the Management Team, and thrives in a fast‑paced, constantly evolving environment.
- You are driven to achieve ambitious goals, including playing a recognizable role in the functional MT Data and Analytics (Tech) domains.
- You have a mastery of the English language, both written and spoken.
- You are open to international travel.

Your responsibilities:
Leadership of the Data Platforms Area
End‑to‑end responsibility for delivering Data Platforms and Engineering capabilities from Hubs PL to the Retail and Banking Technology and ING Analytics domains. Setting the tone for continuous technological innovation, ensuring talent development within the organization, and strengthening relationships with the global Tech organization.
Organizational Scope & Oversight:
Managing an organization with approximately 100 hierarchical reports, including several managerial positions, where the size, product range, and responsibility are expected to increase in the future. Long‑term development of the area’s importance within the global Tech structure.
Product Strategy & Global Consolidation:
Supporting solutions from the Global Data & Analytics organization, both in Data Platforms and Data/ML Engineering.
Driving the Data Platform Capability Hub:
Facilitating and coordinating Data Platform capabilities across all ING Hubs locations, based on Hubs localization strategy and supply, and aligned with demand and strategy from the Functional Lines.
Information about the team / environment:
Within the scope of the Data Platforms Area, there are projects and products related to the Global Tech strategy for Data, Analytics, and Engineering. The Area Lead will report directly to the local TL of the Shared Tech Cluster and functionally to the Functional Lead from Data and Analytics.

What you'll do
- The Area Lead will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Data Platforms and Engineering capabilities. This includes leadership of the Data Platforms Area and ensuring continuous technological innovation.
