In a period of increased sustainability needs and expectations, Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting starts to play an important role in Bank’s decision-making processes and related disclosures towards internal and external stakeholders are, accordingly, becoming more and more important.  

As part of the CFO domain of ING Belgium, the CoE Reporting has as main objective to deliver solutions to answer the continuously data and reporting needs from our different stakeholders within or outside the bank (e.g. National Bank of Belgium, European Central Bank). The CoE covers, next to the Financial and Regulatory Reporting, the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting commitments.

As member of the ESG reporting team, you will work in close collaboration with the ESG Reporting lead and data analysts of the CoE Reporting as well as other ESG representatives of the Bank.

Your key responsibilities

We are looking for young talents who wish to unlock their potential and put that into practice by supporting us in the delivery of our objectives. As member of a multidisciplinary team, you collaborate with your colleagues to realize the team’s targets. 

Your main responsibilities will include a.o.:

  • Support in the review and establishment of the ESG reporting landscape within the Bank,
  • Support in the exploration of data needed and existing to produce the required ESG reporting of the Bank,
  • Participate in the review of ESG data flows and formalization of the data lineage documents describing existing controls and ensuring adequacy of reported data,
  • Take an active role in the documentation of ESG reporting processes.

As an Intern in the CoE Reporting:

  • You are finalizing your Master or MBA studies in Economics, Management, Law, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Civil Engineering or likewise, and are seeking an internship of, at least, 5 or 6 months
  • You are interested in banking and more specifically, in the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) related topics and activities
  • You are eager to learn, and you dare to take on a challenge
  • You are fluent in English
