As a Cloud Data Engineer, you’ll own the full lifecycle of business information delivery using Microsoft Azure Synapse—translating business needs into solutions, designing and building data pipelines, and delivering scalable, high‑quality data products.
In this role, you’ll shape and maintain data analytics roadmaps and architectures that align tightly with business and technology ambitions. You’ll bring experience across on‑prem and open‑source ecosystems, along with hands‑on exposure to data integration, modelling, ETL, and data warehousing.

What you’ll do …
Support the development and maintenance of ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Synapse.
Assist in designing and implementing data models and transformations.
Troubleshoot pipeline issues and contribute to root‑cause analysis.
Participate in understanding source systems, business processes, and data definitions.
Help implement and monitor data quality checks and controls.
Follow coding standards, documentation practices, and data governance requirements.
What we’re looking for...
Extensive hands‑on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, including both Dedicated and Serverless SQL pools.
Strong proficiency in building and managing Azure Synapse Pipelines.
Advanced SQL development skills, including complex transformations and performance optimization.
Practical experience with data mesh principles and analytical data modelling.
Good understanding of source‑to‑target mappings, metadata management, and data lineage concepts.
