Reporting and Insights is part of COO Tech & Transformation. It provides insights, ensures data compliance, and enables CTO to steer based on high quality information. Within Reporting and Insights, the CDO Office is the department this role reports into.
The CDO Office ensures that CTO operates on meaningful, trusted and compliant data. It strengthens reporting processes, data delivery efficiency and data management practices in alignment with ING’s global data standards. The team provides the standards, frameworks and consistent ways of working that support institutional reporting across performance, delivery, financials, service management, people and risk.
We work closely with (senior) management, process owners and report/metric owners who shape steering and reporting requirements. We also collaborate with engineering, architecture and data delivery teams that build scalable and reusable data flows, and with Global Data Management who define ING’s global data standards.
Our mission is to create insights that matter based on data with meaning. This means ensuring that information used within CTO is useful, trusted, owned, compliant and institutional to support ING’s global way of working.
As a Consultant in the CDO Office, you help drive this mission by supporting improvements in data management, reporting and data delivery efficiency
What you will do
Advisory and implementation of the governance framework across CTO
Implement strategic objectives across CTO organization incl. data lifecycle.
Support CTO in adopting the governance and data delivery practices and improving reporting processes.
Identify inefficiencies, manual work and duplication and guide teams toward improvements.
Data & Transformation Leadership
Take responsibility for functional transformation programs that execute the enterprise data strategy within Tech
Implement and maintain Unified Reporting Framework Governance, CTO Metric Boards,
Continuous improvement of the framework based on customer feedback
Apply the available [dashboard] tooling and accountable for periodical reporting via dashboards at CTO level and CTO domain level
Deliver data objectives into concrete initiatives, roadmaps, and delivery models aligned with CTO priorities
Apply program governance structures, including scope definition, delivery models, escalation paths, and decision frameworks.
Prepare program proposals, delivery roadmaps, and governance documentation
Monitor and report on progress and manage proactively the dependencies / impediments and mitigation actions.
You take accountability for your decisions and deliverables.
Cross domain alignment
Work across engineering, reporting, governance and architecture teams to ensure delivery.
Facilitate relationships across domains on defined topics.
You involve the right people, and you bring the best out of people.
Governance, policy alignment and reporting and insight enablement
Interpret and apply ING data management and data quality frameworks.
Implement these requirements into CTO teams.
Initiate improvements in reporting flows, from sourcing and lineage to metric clarity and consistency.
Work with report owners and data consumers to improve data quality.
Communication and structuring
Verbally skilled and experienced in presenting at multiple organizational levels
Prepare clear analyses, narratives and decision papers, proficient in power point
Simplify complex data topics for a wide range of stakeholders.

Experience
Proven track record of leading and successful delivering complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives
Proficient consultancy skills written and verbally
You have proven experience in one or more of the following areas: data governance, data management, reporting, analytics, technology consulting or data delivery.
You understand and have experience in analytic and reporting environments (tooling/analytics).
