The Telecom, Media and Technology & Healthcare Sector Coverage team offers an exciting position in Amsterdam for an ambitious professional who is driven by working in a dynamic international environment. The TMT & Healthcare sector team is one of the global specialist sector coverage teams at the heart of ING Wholesale Banking. We provide banking services and complex financing solutions to telecommunication, media, entertainment, technology, satellite, and healthcare companies in the EMEA region, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific. Our Amsterdam team is the largest TMT & Healthcare hub, with an energetic and diverse team of ca. 20 professionals.

Job Description

You will be a member of multiple client relationships and deal teams involved in transactions which have a significant impact on our clients. As an Analyst in the TMT & Healthcare sector team, your role is highly diverse; your main tasks include:

• Helping to build client relations and maintaining continuous dialogue with industry leaders, sector participants, and sector clients.
• Actively supporting idea generation, proactively contributing to the team's origination efforts by preparing sector analyses, presentations, and pitch books.
• Assisting in the structuring and negotiation of transactions.
• Delivering complex financial models, product fit analyses, rating profiles, peer group analyses, and managing credit applications.
• Taking holistic client responsibility, together with the sector bankers. This includes ownership of both event-driven as well as flow-related products.
• Collaborating with other departments within ING, including Corporate Finance, Loan Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Financial Markets, Sustainable Finance, Transaction Services, and Risk Management.
• Supporting with data quality management and maintaining compliance.

You will be a member of a successful and highly driven team working in a dynamic environment on numerous challenging and prominent transactions. We have a broad client suite (investment and non-investment grade companies, public and privately owned companies, private equity, infrastructure funds, etc.), which means you will gain exposure to corporate, acquisition, capex, and project finance structures as well as daily banking products such as cash management and trade financing. The complexity of the assignments and the international nature of your work will provide continuous opportunities for professional development. The global TMT & Healthcare sector team consists of dedicated professionals located in New York, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Madrid, Singapore, and Sydney. The combined team in Amsterdam/Frankfurt/Madrid/France/Italy/Switzerland/UK covers the EMEA region, where ING is one of the leading banks in the sector with top league table positions.

Who are we looking for

• An ambitious professional with a Master’s degree and excellent academic results.
• Prior experience in the financial sector would be preferred, ideally in an international, transaction-driven environment such as corporate banking, structured finance, leveraged finance, or financial advisory, preferably with a focus on telecom, media, technology, and healthcare.
• A passion for the telecom, media, technology, and healthcare industries.
• At least a basic level of financial, modelling, and analytical skills with an eye for detail.
• Commercial drive and the ability to efficiently determine client preferences and needs; solution-focused.
• A high level of self-motivation and a professional approach.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; a strong team player.
• Ability to operate in a demanding environment, to work well under pressure, and perform to tight deadlines.
• Strong project management and deal execution skills.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written; fluency in additional languages is an advantage.
