ING in Asia Pacific
In Asia Pacific, ING offers wholesale banking across 11 markets, namely Australia, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
ING offers both retail and wholesale banking services in Australia. The bank also started its digital banking platform in the Philippines in 2018. ING’s regional presence includes a 13% stake in Bank of Beijing, China and a 30% stake in TMB in Thailand.
Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING's Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions.
What does the Country Management Team do in ING?
The team supports the Singapore Country manager run the day to day activities related to the Singapore business. This includes aspects related to Governance, Regulatory Compliance and business strategy execution.
What would you be doing?
You will be supporting Business Manager, Wholesale Banking, Singapore with a variety of Singapore branch and business management related activities. Your tasks include, but not limited to:
Support the country manager and business manager - WB Singapore in running the various governance and Branch committees.
Support regional / APAC initiatives that originate from Singapore or from the region.
Preparing meeting packs, Internal memorandums and presentations as required. Follow up on action items, deliverables, internal and external commitments to ensure they are being tracked and completed on time.
Manage ad-hoc requests to meet business needs.

We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:

Someone who is currently studying Commerce/Finance/Accounting.
Attention to detail.
Enjoys interacting and working with a various stakeholders.

Experience a banking environment and get a feel for how a wholesale bank operates. Ability to interact and learn from a variety of banking professionals and build upon skills such as team work, influencing and learn banking concepts.
