About this role

The cloud infrastructure manager oversees the planning, design, deployment, and management of an organization's cloud computing infrastructure. He ensures the cloud environment operates efficiently, securely, and cost-effectively, supporting the organization's business goals. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, from managing cloud services and resources to optimizing performance and ensuring compliance. The role focuses on ensuring that technical and operational resources are sufficient and available to meet organizational needs, while also addressing potential skill gaps and improving overall technical capabilities. It analyzes current resource usage, forecast future demands, and plan for both short-term and long-term resource requirements. This involves identifying and addressing capacity gaps, developing training programs, and optimizing resource allocation (cost).

Job Description
In your new role you will:
Capacity Planning and Management:
  • Assess current resources and their utilization.
  • Forecast future resource demands.
  • Develop and implement capacity plans to ensure sufficient resources are available.
  • Monitor and track resource performance.
Technical Capacity Development:
  • Identify technical skill gaps within the organization.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and materials to address these gaps.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to teams.
  • Promote continuous learning and skill development.
Resource Optimization:
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project and business needs.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve resource utilization.
  • Manage resource costs and budgets.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work with other teams to ensure capacity plans align with project requirements.
  • Communicate capacity status and potential issues to stakeholders.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams.
Availability Management:
  • Ensure that critical systems and services are available when needed.
  • Implement measures to prevent outages and reduce downtime.
  • Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
In essence, the cloud infrastructure manager is a key player in ensuring that an organization has the right resources, skills, and systems in place to achieve its goals efficiently and effectively.

Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar field
  • Hands-on experience with developing, deploying and running applications on Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Proven experience of working with and delivering projects involving Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe Experience Cloud products
  • At least 3 years of experience as Cloud Manager or Architect for AWS,
  • Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies, content delivery networks (CDN), enterprise level network topologies and network infrastructure
  • Know-how in container technology, microservices and services meshes
  • Passion for security and privacy topics
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills as well as strong interpersonal skills to interact with cross-functional global teams in order to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent English language skills
