If you’re someone who gets excited by making an impact through interesting challenges, you’ll feel right at home. IEM is currently seeking a Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer for our Jacksonville, FL locations and will report into our Continuous Improvement Manager. Join our transformation journey as a lean professional supporting kaizen activities, standard work documentation, and data-driven process improvement. This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates with a passion for lean manufacturing and a desire to grow in a structured CI environment. 


Please note: This position requires 100% in-office presence in our Jacksonville offices and does not offer remote work. 


Key Responsibilities:  



  • Plan & lead cross-functional kaizen events focused on lean fundamentals, standard work, visual management, flow, problem-solving and strategic growth/ capacity initiatives

  • Drive the implementation of tools and processes across operations, supply chain, engineering, and commercial functions 

  • Develop internal capability by training and coaching team members/ leaders in lean thinking, daily management and continuous improvement practice

  • Create and execute improvement roadmaps based on assessments of the business system maturity  

  • Enable teams to embrace standardization, accountability, and data-driven decision making

  • Identify, document and disseminate internal best practices 

  • Will be expected to perform additional duties as assigned


 Qualifications:  



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field; MBA or Master’s preferred

  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing, operations, or continuous improvement, preferably in a multi-site or matrixed industrial environment

  • Proven understanding of Lean Principles (e.g., 5S, value stream mapping, standard work, visual management, PDCA, SMED, A3 problem solving)

  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional kaizen events and system-wide CI initiatives

  • Proven understanding of basic ops finance, including P&L impact, cost drivers, and fixed vs. variable costs

  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills, with a track record of cross-functional collaboration and mentoring junior engineers

  • Demonstrated career ambition with a track record of growth and increasing responsibility; highly promotable with the potential to take on broader leadership roles within a fast-paced, high-growth organization 


Compensation actually offered for this role will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
