We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our practice. The ideal candidate is passionate about preventive care, skilled in clinical procedures, and committed to building strong patient relationships. You will play a key role in promoting oral health and supporting the overall treatment plan for each patient.
Schedule:
- Monday thru Thursday 9AM - 5PM
- Friday 9AM - 3PM
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care & Preventive Treatment
- Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis), periodontal scaling, and root planing
- Conduct oral cancer screenings and periodontal charting
- Take and process dental X-rays and digital scans
- Apply sealants, fluoride, and desensitizing agents
Patient Education
- Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and long-term oral hygiene habits
- Provide nutritional and lifestyle guidance related to oral health
Treatment Coordination & Documentation
- Review and update medical histories and patient records
- Collaborate with the dentist on treatment planning
- Document clinical findings accurately in patient management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Dental Hygiene License
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in Patient Management Software
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work efficiently and professionally in a team environment
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
