About this role

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Impel, you’ll play an instrumental role in developing new business for our company. You will focus on creating awareness and consideration for Impel’s innovative product suite within the automotive space. By engaging potential clients, qualifying leads, and scheduling demos for our Sales Managers, you’ll set the stage for impactful customer partnerships and long-term success.


  • Perform Initial Discovery Calls:Conduct initial discovery calls to engage both inbound and outbound leads, ensuring a clear understanding of their needs and pain points.
  • Schedule Demo Appointments:Coordinate and schedule high-quality web-based and in-person demo appointments for Enterprise, Mid-Market, and SMB Sales Managers, aligning client needs with Impel’s solutions.
  • Qualify Leads:Identify and qualify leads based on their fit for Impel’s products and services, passing them on to the sales team for deal closure.
  • Handle Objections Dynamically:Address and overcome objections from prospects with confidence and professionalism, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of Impel’s value proposition.
  • Persistent Follow-Up:Maintain consistent follow-up efforts through calls, texts, emails, and social media to nurture relationships and keep prospects engaged.
  • Generate Interest via Outreach:Execute outbound calls, emails, texts, and social media interactions to spark additional interest and uncover new opportunities.
  • Research Decision-Makers:Use tools like ZoomInfo and online research to identify and gather contact information for key decision-makers, ensuring targeted outreach strategies.
  • Time Management:Successfully manage multiple sales initiatives and campaigns simultaneously, maintaining focus on high-priority tasks.
  • Document Outreach Activities:Accurately record all prospecting and outreach activities in CRM systems and sales enablement tools to ensure transparency and effective team collaboration.
  • Workload Cadence:Develop and maintain proper cadences for outreach and follow-up activities to optimize efficiency and success rates.
  • Track and Achieve Goals:Consistently meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly activity and performance goals.
  • Educate Prospects:Clearly articulate Impel’s offerings to potential customers, educating them on the business and its benefits, with a focus on delivering value.

  • Must have the ability to work a full, 5-day workweek with reliable transportation to downtown Syracuse
  • Must maintain the highest level of professionalism and integrity as a representative of the Impel brand
