
This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication with healthcare providers and lienholders, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA and legal requirements.
Request and obtain medical records and bills from healthcare providers
Send Letters of Representation (LOR) and HIPAA authorizations
Track requests and follow up to ensure timely receipt
Review records and bills for accuracy, completeness, and relevance to DOI
Request missing or corrected documentation as needed
Upload and organize records in the case management system
Maintain accurate medical records and billing database
Request, review, and verify third-party liens (TPLs)
Communicate with lienholders and document correspondence
Assist with lien resolution prior to case closure
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in a law firm, medical office, or medical records department preferred
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
Proficiency with case management systems and basic office software
