About this role

Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Specialist is responsible for coordinating, processing, and maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, including hazardous materials and international orders.

What you'll be doing:

  • Prepare, package, and ship domestic and international orders in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

  • Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, commercial invoices, and carrier documentation.

  • Assign and maintain accurate HTS codes for exported products.

  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, custom brokers, and international carriers.

  • Receive incoming deliveries of material, components, and supplies from both domestic and international sources.

  • Verify shipments against packing slips and purchase orders for accuracy and completeness. Report any discrepancies to the Purchasing Department.

  • Enter received goods into ERP system and label materials as required.

  • Request and provide delivery cost estimates.

  • Additional responsibilities as needed.

Preferred Experience:

  • Forklift Experience/Certified.

  • Hazmat Certified - Shipping/Receiving Hazardous Materials.

  • IATA Certified. Shipping Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Materials by Air.

  • Experience shipping hazardous material and labeling/documenting shipments accordingly.

  • Experience with UPS, FedEx, and LTL domestic and international shipping processes and documentation.

Compensation Information:

$27.00 - $31.00 per hour based on experience and education.
