About this role

Role Purpose

Assisting Senior Area Technology Manager, SWA with the Design, Review & Implementation of the technology requirements for the new hotel openings and conversions. Additionally, project manages the product deployment and enterprise rollouts in the SWA hotels.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Manages technology infrastructure standards compliance in the hotels.
  • Manages technology & information security metrics compliance in the hotels.
  • Manages guest internet experience in the hotels by ensuring the IHG Connect standards are adhered to.
  • Owns NHOP activities to deliver the new hotel openings and conversions on brand, on time, and on budget.
  • Owns Engagement with the hotel IT manager’s community on a monthly basis.
  • Owns technical support and guidance to the hotels related to the IHG standardized systems/policies.
  • Maintain, update, and cascade the technology SOP’s & best practices to the hotels.
  • Analyse the hotel technology recurring issues and provide timely solutions by consulting all the stakeholders.
  • Develop and conduct presentations/training related to P&T updates.
  • Ensure the hotel-based technology team understands the IHG vision/roadmap for the P&T products.
  • Provide escalation support in managing and maintaining the office technology equipment in the offices.
  • Provides support escalation to the hotel-related technology matters, ensuring timely resolution (where applicable) and solutions for the company’s managed hotels.
  • Owns IHG global products transition into the operating hotels.
  • Owns and delivers hotel technology lifecycle refresh (CAPEX) projects.
  • Owns, channels, and voices hotel technology leadership team feedback towards the TFS team.
  • Owns key vendor engagement for the Business Unit / Regional initiatives, including escalation management.

 

Critical Expertise, Experience and Educational Attainment Required

Educational Attainment:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer or Equivalent

Critical Expertise & Experience:

  • Experience in hotel opening and conversion projects.

  • Experience in managing a team of remote workers.

  • Minimum 5 years of hotel technology operation knowledge.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive practical experience within a large enterprise in a similar capacity.
