Your team
This role is part of our Finance Systems and Change team -- we're responsible for optimising our finance technology landscape, maintaining business-as-usual operations of systems across all finance divisions, and driving digitization initiatives across our global finance function. We deliver system enhancements, implement new solutions, and ensure our finance systems support both operational excellence and strategic business objectives.
Your role in the Team's Success
You'll support our critical treasury and reconciliation platforms - AutoRek, FIS Integrity TMS, and iRecs - ensuring these systems run smoothly 24/7 to manage client and corporate money, assets, and payments. By maintaining system reliability and data quality, you'll enable our Operations teams to reconcile millions of transactions daily while meeting strict regulatory requirements. Your proactive monitoring, incident resolution, and user support will be essential to maintaining the financial controls that underpin our global trading operations. This role offers an excellent foundation for growth within finance systems, providing hands-on experience with industry-leading platforms.
What you'll do
- Monitor system performance and data loads across systems, ensuring smooth operations and investigating any anomalies
- Serve as the main point of contact for Operations teams, leading incident resolution and providing flexible support including outside standard hours for business-critical situations
- Execute SQL queries to validate data integrity, investigate discrepancies, and support both internal and external reporting requirements
- Work closely with the Finance Systems and IT teams and our vendors to ensure that the data inputs to the system are delivered successfully and meet the required data quality standards. This includes understanding and considering system and process interdependencies
- Manage selected BAU operational deliverables in the full project life cycle (requirement capture, solution design and incorporation into strategy, to final roll out and user sign off)
- Lead system testing for all changes, coordinating with business users for UAT and managing selected BAU deliverables through the full project lifecycle
- Document all supported processes and procedures, create training materials, and provide ongoing support to finance system users including training
- Maintain relationships with vendor support teams (API Limited, FIS, Watson Wheatley), advise on upgrade opportunities, and improvement opportunities
What you'll need for this role
Key Qualification Requirements:
- 1-3 years experience in system support, IT helpdesk, or finance operations with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail under pressure
- SQL querying skills with ability to read, understand, and write basic queries for data validation and investigation
- Experience with ticketing systems (SNOW, JIRA, or similar) and Microsoft Excel at intermediate level
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with methodical troubleshooting approach
- Experience in banking, trading, or financial markets environments with understanding of reconciliation processes is highly desirable
- Flexibility to provide support outside standard hours when business-critical situations require immediate attention
Highly Desirable:
- Experience in banking, trading, or financial markets with understanding of trade lifecycle, settlements, or reconciliation processes
- Knowledge of AutoRek, FIS products, or iRecs platforms
- ITIL Foundation certification or process improvement knowledge (Lean, Six Sigma basics)
- Data analysis skills with ability to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in financial data
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python) or understanding of APIs and system integrations
