As a premier fuel and hydraulic tank producer, IFH Group, Inc. is a growing company and destination employer for professionals and skilled experts. This full-time Paint Line Worker position is 100% on-site in Rock Falls, Illinois, and eligible for insurance benefits on the 1st day of the month following date of hire. 

The regular weekly schedule for this position is Sunday - Monday, 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 

Paint Line Worker for the finish team plays a key role in prepping, loading, unloading, and inspecting metal parts throughout the painting process according to standard specifications while also prioritizing safety and quality excellence. This role ensures each part is properly prepped, accurately placed on the conveyor line, and inspected for quality before and after paint application, including identifying defects, performing basic touch-ups, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Physical Demands: Constant standing, bending, or stooping with repetitious hand and finger movements to use and operate hand tools, load, prep, and sort parts, and clean out washers and ovens; detect, perceive, identify, observe, inspect, and assess interior and exterior of tanks for surface and fabrication defects; express and exchange information in-person. Constant moving/traversing and positioning self to reach overhead and at or below the shoulder; move and position objects up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment: Constantly works in manufacturing setting on the shop floor with exposure to fluctuating temperatures and noise levels at or above 100 decibels on average. Working on the shop floor requires safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear while working on the paint line requires additional personal protective equipment including, but not limited to gloves, chemical-protective clothing, and respiratory protection.
QualificationsQualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Six (6) months’ previous work experience in manufacturing, general labor, or paint line work highly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong work ethic with integrity while prioritizing safety and quality excellence.
Knowledge, skill, and ability to safely prep, load, and handle metal parts for painting and shipping.
Knowledge and ability to identify surface defects such as rust, overspray, scratches, or missing components.
Knowledge, skill, and ability to perform basic touch-ups and rework according to standard quality and safety specifications.
Knowledge, skill, and ability to follow verbal and written work instructions consistently.
Knowledge, skill, and ability to operate and use hand tools.
Ability, knowledge, and skill to demonstrate professionalism and use respectful communication with employees at all levels within the organization.
Ability and willingness to comply with all company policies, processes, and procedures including, but not limited to safety and code of conduct.
Knowledge and ability to apply basic computer skills.
Ability and skill to fluently speak, read, write, and understand English.
