Where You’ll Make a Difference
- Lead the daily operations of the Animal Nutrition & Health Application Laboratory in Cedar Rapids, ensuring high‑quality execution of analytical work.
- Implement and support the global application strategy across North America, with a focus on in‑feed enzyme assays and raw material analysis.
- Maintain alignment with global quality standards, documentation practices, and laboratory best‑in‑class processes.
- Collaborate closely with global application laboratories to share insights, harmonize methods, and strengthen consistency in service delivery.
- Oversee method development, optimization, and troubleshooting of enzyme assays and related analytical techniques.
- Provide technical leadership to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely laboratory results for internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Partner with the Global Application Manager, Regional Technical Services Director, and Regional Industry Lead to resolve technical challenges and support commercial initiatives.
- Deliver customer service support by addressing client inquiries, providing technical explanations, and presenting new laboratory capabilities.
- Independently execute laboratory analyses in support of the North American (NAM) business, delivering reliable data to support customer requests, commercial activities, and technical decision‑making
What Makes You the Right Fit
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Animal Science, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
- 5+ years of experience in analytical laboratory environments, preferably within animal nutrition, feed, or enzyme applications.
- Strong understanding of enzyme assay methodologies, raw material analysis, and associated laboratory instrumentation.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret analytical data and translate findings into meaningful technical insights.
- Experience working within global quality frameworks and following standardized laboratory procedures.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to diagnose technical issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers, commercial teams, and global technical colleagues.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
How You Would Stand Out
- Experience leading laboratory teams or overseeing lab operations.
- Prior exposure to the feed, premix, or enzyme industry in a commercial or customer‑facing capacity.
- Familiarity with global technical networks or cross‑regional project collaboration.
