About the role

Your responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain the technical integrity and strategic direction of data management solutions

• Act as the technical authority ensuring deliveries are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with the organizations overall data strategy

• Gather and translate business requirements into a specific, viable technical blueprint

• Proactively identifying architectural risks and non-functional requirements failures

• Apply strategic, system-level approach to solve complex challenges, focusing on minimizing technical debt

About the Tribe and Squad

The Data Enabler Tribe’s main responsibility is to enable the use of data in If. We build and operate data platforms, support teams with data management practices, provide AI guidance. We enable data producers and data consumers distributed across our organization, including data warehouses, business intelligence, integration and ML and AI solutions. You will be joining a unit with more than 120 enthusiastic developers, engineers, architects, and managers. Our squads are mostly located at the If offices in Turku, Espoo, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen and Riga. You will be working in Data Management squad.

Who are you?

• You are a data architect with deep specialized knowledge of data architecture patterns like data mesh

• You bring over 5 years of comparable experience delivering results in similar roles

• You have gained experience with cloud data platform technologies. Experience working with Databricks and DBT is seen as an advantage

• You have experience of modern and scalable technologies

• You have great communication and stakeholder management skills

• Any previous consulting experience is seen as an advantage
