Position Overview

The Director, Operations is the senior site leader responsible for the overall performance, safety, financial results, and operational execution of a single ID Logistics facility. This role provides strategic and hands-on leadership across all site functions, with full P&L ownership and accountability for service excellence, associate development, and continuous improvement. The Director, Operations partners cross-functionally and with customers to drive results, ensure compliance, and deliver a high-performance operation.

 

Location: This is an on-site role in Frackville, PA

Work Schedule: 1st Shift (must be flexible)

Travel Specifics: 25%

Competitive Compensation: Attractive annual salary of $150,000-$180,000 plus a performance-based bonus

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for all site operations, including warehousing, distribution, packaging, and transportation.

  • Own and manage full site P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability.

  • Develop and execute short- and long-term operational strategies aligned with organizational objectives and customer expectations.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, service, productivity, and cost efficiency.

  • Recruit, hire, coach, and develop a high-performing leadership team and workforce.

  • Establish staffing and labor strategies that balance service requirements, labor cost, overtime management, retention, and engagement.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer relationships, ensuring consistent delivery against service-level agreements and performance metrics.

  • Monitor site performance through KPIs and scorecards; prepare and present weekly and monthly operational and financial reports.

  • Analyze performance gaps, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions and training programs.

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, customer requirements, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Lead and enforce site-wide safety programs to protect associates, equipment, and property.

  • Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, HR, Safety, Engineering, IT, and Commercial teams to support site objectives.

  • Lead change management initiatives related to process improvements, customer growth, and operational transformation.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED 
  • 10+ years management experience and comprehensive knowledge in a high volume fast paced 3PL, distribution, warehouse, and transportation environment.
  • Experience managing multiple sites.
  • Strong P&L experience.
  • High volume e-commerce experience.
  • 3 years minimum 3PL experience.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and communication styles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, databases, WMS, and other metrics measurement tools.
  • Strong presentation, writing and speaking proficiency.
  • Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen principles preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience with ADP platforms, including ADP WorkForce Now, WorkForce Manager and Recruiting Management, helpful.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the operation's needs.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain or Logistics or business-related field preferred.
