About this role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer to ensure that our products, processes, and systems meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. The ideal candidate will play a key role in identifying issues, implementing improvements, and supporting continuous quality assurance initiatives across the organization. The candidate will have a strong background in quality management, inspections and offshore energy projects.

RESPOSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Develop, implement, and maintain project specific quality management plans and procedures.
  • Conduct inspections, audidts and quality checks such as foundations, towers, blades, electrical, hydraulical and mechanical systems.
  • Perform internal audits and support external audits (e.g., ISO, customer audits).
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance from contractors, suppliers and internal teams to verify adherance to quality requirements.
  • Manage non- conformity reports, root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
  • Review and approve quality documentation, including inspection reports and test records.
  • Support certification processes with thgird party agencies. ( TüV, DNV, DEKRA … )
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Train staff on quality standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with site- and project management, HSE and Engineering teams to ensure consistent quality performance.
  • Strong focus on in implementation of highest HSE standards in all processes and procedures.

MANDATORY SKILLS

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Proven experience in a quality engineering role (typically 3–5 years).
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards and inspection techniques.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or other relevant standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using quality management systems (QMS) and statistical software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional language skills, verbal and written in English and German.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Good financial and project management skills
  • Experience in contractor management
  • SAP skills
