The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from:

·         $134,080 - $167,600 (Boston, MA)

·         $128,320 - $160,400 (Orange, CT)

Job Summary

The Lead Analyst – Applications is a senior technical and functional role responsible for the health, roadmap and continuous improvement of critical applications across the Networks Organization, as well as the applications architecture. This role acts as the primary liaison between business areas, end users, and vendors while providing leadership within the Applications team. The Lead Analyst oversees solution architecture, design, configuration, mobile/offline workflow support, and complex troubleshooting across desktop and Android field solutions.

This position guides analyst leads prioritization activities, and partners with project teams to ensure high-quality delivery and operational stability.

The Lead Analyst – Applications reports into the Manager – IT Applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzes business processes, identifies gaps, and designs solutions through configuration, integration or custom development.

  • Owns the functional and technical roadmap for assigned applications, including upgrades, enhancements and field-worker mobile capabilities.

  • Develops applications architecture, specifications, test plans, and validation steps to ensure successful implementation of changes.

  • Troubleshoots unresolved service desk issues, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.

  • Leads design and validation of integrations across enterprise platforms (e.g., Salesforce, document management, mobility applications).

  • Team and Prioritization Leadership

  • Serves as the lead for Applications team, driving backlog prioritization, resource planning and daily operational oversight.

  • Mentors analysts and support team, reviews technical deliverables, and enforces quality standards.

  • Facilitates cross-team coordination with Networks Applications, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and business stakeholders.

  • Documentation, Training & Process Improvement

  • Maintains and improves Technical Process Procedures, reference guides and IT training materials.

  • Provides training sessions to support team and ongoing user support.

  • Identifies and champions opportunities to use under-utilized application functionality or automation.

  • Leads Vendor Engagement for defect resolution, enhancements, licensing considerations, and product roadmap planning.

  • Supports project execution through requirements development, system testing, and change control.

  • Participates in disaster recover planning and execution.

  • Coordinates review, testing and approval of user security access.

  • Works with mobile platforms (Android/IOS) to support offline capability, synchronization workflows and field data integrity.

  • Assists in developing and deploying solutions for Field Workforce Mobility tools and related applications

  • Participates in after-hours on-call rotation, ensuring operational continuity for critical applications.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • 5+ years of IT experience supporting business applications in a complex enterprise environment

  • Strong understanding of desktop, client-server and mobile (Android/IOS) application architectures.

  • Proficient with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business processes into system solutions.

  • Experience with vendor coordination. Integration troubleshooting and multi-system workflows.

  • Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines while maintain solution quality.

  • Excellent communication, documentation and stakeholder-management skills.
