Help us create a better future, quicker

We’re looking for someone with a solid foundation in application support and development who’s ready to take the next step in their career. This role focuses on delivering functional expertise, supporting key business applications and helping to ensure they run smoothly, reliably and in line with agreed SLAs. You’ll play an important part in configuring and maintaining application solutions, carrying out testing and supporting the delivery of enhancements that meet real business needs.

What you’ll be doing

Working closely with sponsors and colleagues across IT, you’ll help shape application requirements and contribute to developing practical, effective solutions. You’ll take ownership of your assigned tasks, monitor progress and raise risks or issues when needed. Day-to-day, you’ll configure or develop application components from clear design specifications, carry out unit and integration testing and support regular releases by turning business requests into delivered functionality.

You’ll also play a key role in third‑line application support, helping investigate and resolve issues while ensuring new features or updates are smoothly transitioned into the production environment. Producing accurate documentation and sharing knowledge with operational teams will be an important part of how you support long‑term stability. While you won’t be expected to design complex integrations or lead architectural work, you’ll be working with experienced colleagues and third parties to ensure solutions and support activity stay on track and aligned with wider IT standards.

What you’ll bring

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring experience in application development or configuration and a genuine interest in building your technical knowledge. Strong communication skills, good organisation and the ability to manage multiple workstreams will help you succeed in a busy environment. You’ll be comfortable working with both technical teams and business stakeholders, approaching challenges with a practical, solutions‑focused mindset. Experience in project delivery environments is beneficial, along with a willingness to learn, adapt and develop as part of a collaborative hybrid team.

If you’re looking for a role that offers hands‑on experience, real responsibility and the chance to grow within a supportive IT function, we’d love to hear from you.

What’s in it for you

As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we’ll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%.
