General Function:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Assistant to join our dynamic production team. In this role, you will assist the Production Planner with essential tasks such as shipping finished goods, receiving and staging materials, and batching raw materials for upcoming beverage production runs. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts of all materials on hand and supporting the beverage production team as needed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Shipping Finished Goods:
  •  Coordinate the packaging and shipping of completed beverage products to clients or distribution centers in a timely manner.
• Receiving Materials:
  • Receive, inspect, and log raw materials into inventory as they arrive. Ensure accurate records are maintained for all incoming shipments.
• Staging Raw Materials:
  •  Stage the necessary raw materials for upcoming beverage production runs, ensuring proper organization and accessibility for the production team.
• Batching Raw Materials:
  • Accurately batch raw materials according to production schedule and batch sheets, ensuring the right quantities and quality are provided to the production team.
• Inventory Management:
  • Perform regular inventory counts of materials in-house, track stock levels, and report discrepancies to the Production Planner.
• Production Support:
  • Assist the beverage production team with day-to-day operations, helping to ensure smooth production processes and addressing any immediate needs as they arise.
• Collaboration with Production Planner:
  • Assist the Production Planner with scheduling, coordination, and any other administrative tasks related to production and materials management.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in managing others, preferably in a high speed production environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally; exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently; and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Must be able to be on feet (standing and walking) for 8-12 hours a day.
• Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
• Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling,  reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting,  grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Working Conditions:

• Fast paced work environment and will require some pressure to meet deadlines.
• The duties of this position are performed mostly in the production area
• Working directly with employees, technicians and vendors.

Computer, pallet jack, forklift, telescopic forklift, box cutter, knives, trash compactor, cardboard compactor, calculator, telephone, and manufacturing machinery
