Candidate qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
The employee must have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with maintenance staff and personnel from other company departments. Attention to detail, accuracy, completion of scheduled tasks. The employee must have strong electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic aptitudes, and be able to work independently with little or no direct supervision. Employee must understand the role and function of the maintenance organization in a manufacturing environment.
EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent. Licensed journeyman electrician (8000 hours) or minimum four (4) years of equivalent electrical experience.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Basic math and problem solving skills required for measurements, fabrication, and completion of paperwork and reporting. Ability to determine and calculate wire sizing, conduit sizing, and electrical load calculations.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Employee must be able to navigate and input data into CMMS.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Hilo (fork truck) operator’s license. Scissor lift operator’s license. Journeyman electrician license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; walk; bend; use hands to grasp, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; and regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, to climb, and to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
