About this role

Job/Position main responsibilities

  • Recording of incoming UPS packages and distribution to appropriate parties.
  • Stocking of received supplies and components in proper location and removal of shipping supplies according to Hutchinson recycling and disposal requirements.
  • Recording of parts and supplies removed from the crib with proper employee clock and department numbers.
  • Recording of required reorder parts for both production (supplies) and maintenance (critical/ urgent spare parts). 
  • Perform continuous record-keeping procedures on crib inventory.
  • Continuous improvement of crib layout and organization.
  • Perform required data entry duties including (but not limited to) daily Tech log sheets, CMMS PM records and CMMS work order tracking.
  • Maintain control of various hazardous/restricted waste (lightbulbs and batteries)
  • Attend necessary training classes or seminars as directed by the Department Manager.
  • Any other duties as directed by the Department Manager.
  •  Knowledge and practice of Hutchinson AV's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a KANBAN system to control inventory on MRO items critical to production control (Forms and Tags specifically, other items at Management discretion)
  • Other duties as assigned.

Must have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with Production, Maintenance, Purchasing and other plant and office personnel.  Attention to detail and accuracy.  Must have good computer skills with a working knowledge of basic spreadsheet and data logging applications ( Word, Excel, Lotus notes)

EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE:

6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Basic math skills

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Must be able to do basic data entry in Word, Excel and be able to learn new systems.

REASONING ABILITY:

 Ability to define and collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret a variety of technical specifications for comparison. Understanding of mathematical basics and  mechanical components. 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Driver’s License (Hi-lo License and Lift License beneficial)

The employee will be in a parts crib environment.  There may be occasions where the employee will have tasks to perform in a Laboratory environment and a Manufacturing environment, where Personal Protective Equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses and Safety Shoes are required.
