About this role

As Billing Processor in our Foreclosure department, you will provide support to our attorneys as they represent mortgage servicers in civil action related to recovering their collateral.  

 

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions:
 

  • Calculate reinstatement and payoff figures provided by the mortgage company to include our fees and cost. 
  • Calculate fees and costs accrued and not yet incurred.
  • Provide reinstatement and payoff figures to borrower via phone, email and mail within the timeframe requested.
  • Input data, update websites, and perform status inquiries.
  • Maintain information related to specific team documents.
  • Draft correspondence with clients and other agencies involved in foreclosure process.
  • Answer phone calls from prospective purchasers and or borrowers or lenders.
  • Any clerical duties as assigned.


Employees of the foreclosure department may be cross-trained and expected to fulfil responsibilities of any team at any time based on business need.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in an office environment.
  • 0-2 years of experience in mortgage foreclosure processing or other processing related work in the legal field.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

 

Preferred Skills & Experience – These are additional skills and experience that are not required to hold this position, but may provide candidates who possess them an edge over candidates who do not.

  • Experience with Simplifile, OnBase and similar software
  • Accounting and/or billing experience 

 

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files (up to 15 lbs.), open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary, operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
