Overview

The following statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements, which may be inherent in the position.

 

Clerical Support performs a variety of secretarial duties and clerical support services for the efficient operation of the department.  Ability to maintain record keeping and filing system in accordance with departmental system.  Verbal ability to communicate courteously to public in answering telephone and giving directions and direct calls appropriately.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

                       High School Graduate or Equivalent preferred.

                       Computer knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs

 

EDUCATION/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

                       Work in conjunction with appropriate staff to implement personnel/benefit recommendations

                       Ability to maintain record keeping and filing system in accordance with departmental system

                       Verbal ability to communicate courteously to public and co-workers

                       Answering multiple line telephone system and giving appropriate directions to caller

                       Directing calls appropriately and taking messages clearly   

                       Self-motivator
