Job Summary
The Forklift Operator 1 is responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts and related equipment to move, load, unload, and stack raw paper materials, in-process products, and finished products within the warehouse, storage yard, or factory. This role ensures accurate inventory tracking, conducts routine safety checks, and supports overall warehouse and production operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate forklift trucks equipped with forks, clamps, grapples, or lifting platforms to load, unload, and transport materials.
- Load and unload semi-trailer trucks and move products to designated storage or production areas.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. - Conduct safety checks on lifts, lubricate equipment, recharge batteries, fill fuel tanks, or replace liquefied-gas tanks as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and report any discrepancies. - Adhere to all company safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required.

Our team is capable of processing aqueous organic, inorganic, liquid, and special waste including flammable solids, spent catalysts, industrial wastewater, hydrovac slurry, and more. We also provide emergency spill response and project management services for environmental projects.
Escarpment Renewables is Miller’s Class 3 wet anaerobic digestion facility in Grimsby, Ontario where we convert organic waste into a CFIA-certified liquid fertilizer for local agricultural partners and renewable heat and electricity for the Ontario power grid.
