About this role

U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management service, is seeking Plumbers in Philadelphia .This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of RTU'S, AHU'S, VFD, MUR'S, Boilers, Chillers, Energy management systems, Exhaust Fans, Laundry equipment's, Fire Alarm systems. Refrigeration and all associated equipment in a Commercial/Industrial HVAC/R environment. Observing and interpreting readings on gauges, meters and charts which register various aspects of the system's operation, adjusting controls to insure safe and efficient operation of the system and to meet demands for the service provided; recording in logs various aspects of the system's operations; keeping the engines, machinery and equipment of the system in good working order; Perform routine and preventive and corrective maintenance, operate building automation systems; Maintain records of maintenance services, repairs, supplies. Make repairs of a mechanical nature, electrical nature. Other Duties will be assigned as needed.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Performs all repairs and maintenance of all heating/cooling and ventilating components common to the building operations.
  • Performs HVAC tasks at the highest level involving piping systems, motors and controllers, pneumatic systems, chilled water, etc.
  • Maintains air handlers and other mechanical equipment's by changing filters, belts, oil, cleaning coils and drain pan.
  • Operates, installs, repairs and maintains mechanical equipment's such as air handlers, exhaust fans, automatic valves, pneumatic and electrical controls and refrigeration systems, space heating and cooling units.
  • Replace Fire & Smoke Alarm detectors.
  • Replace sprinkler heads and perform minor repairs on sprinkler systems.
  • Upkeep, cleaning, painting of Boiler room equipment's.
  • Monitor and file records of certificates and licenses of Power plant equipment's.
  • Required to respond to emergencies such as floods, power outages, etc.
  • Must provide own basic hand tools and test equipment.
  • Capable of reading blueprints, drawings, layouts.
  • Must be able to read and speak English clearly
  • Valid Driver's license.
  • Able to climb ladders and walk long distances.
  • Able to pass background investigation without Criminal history.
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug screening and random drug testing.
  • Must be able to work overtime when required.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in all climate conditions
  • Will be working in a Correctional environment which is a 24/7 operation. Shifts to be assigned.
  • Shifts may involve multiple schedules.
  • Must be able to work on all Building Equipment

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

 

  • High school graduate equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of maintenance experience and additional two (2) years experience in a boiler room, attending boilers and chillers (large commercial facility preferred)
  • Ability to operate building automation systems.
  • Philadelphia Class A license required.
  • Universal Refrigeration Certification required.
